ITS Academic Staff participate in 28th MELTA International Conference
To keep abreast with the latest techniques in pedagogy, International Tuition School (ITS) sent a team of academic staff to the recently ended 3-day long MELTA (Malaysian English Language Teaching Association) International Conference held at the Riverside Majestic Hotel here in Kuching.
The teachers attended presentations and participated in workshops aimed at this year’s theme – “English Language Education And Society 5.0: Developing Sustainable Literacies.”
This is in line with the establishment’s policy to ascertain the academic staff secure a lifetime of achievement from their ITS pupils. It is certain that the MELTA conference has provided the ITS participants with quality, modern training and professional development.
The workshops placed a strong emphasis on pedagogy, skills development, classroom practice and practical activities which the ITS participants will share with their fellow ITS colleagues to further equip the academic staff with more insight into the learning culture of the modern world and to keep them abreast with the current pedagogical developments, the approaches and the latest in educational practices.
At ITS, we hope to make a positive difference on our teachers’ practice and, importantly, students’ outcomes.
